INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE continues the tense and surprising battle of wits between veteran journalist Daniel Molloy and the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as the latter describes his travels in Europe with his companion, the vampire Claudia, in the years following their hasty departure from New Orleans. Their journeys take them to the Eastern front of WW2 and the jubilant and wild streets of post-war Paris where they meet an ancient Vampire coven knowns as the Theatre Des Vampires. Finding a new and exciting life with their vampiric fellows, including the vampires Armand and Santiago, Louis and Claudia are haunted by what they fled in New Orleans: their maker, the vampire Lestat. Tension builds within the coven, leading to an epic performance in the Theatre Des Vampires that seals the fate of all in attendance. Back in modern day Dubai, Molloy picks and pries at Louis’ story until the reality of his time in Europe, and indeed his whole existence, is laid bare. Memory is truly a monster.
